What car would you give race mods?

Yesterday while I was resaerching Lotus Europa's for sale I noticed one thing among a few of them.

People like to turn them into race cars.

I mean, it sounds like great fun, looks like fun too. And this got me thinking about what other cars would be fun to turn into race cars? So far i have come up with a few good ones but what would you race mod oppo?

Since it got me started thinking about it, the Europa first.

Heck, any Volvo really, any of the 240's would be epic. And safe too.

Gotta have a bug in there somewhere.

Thats about all I thought of, keep in mind you do have a budget. Lets say 50k?

I'd love to Rally-ize my Aveo. I'd drive the shit out of it too! Especially to see the looks on all the people's faces as they see an Aveo with a lift, rally suspension and a straight 6 turbo engine! That would be fun.

(If you can't tell, I've been wanting to do this for a while)
